About

Elizabeth Ghia’s philosophy of interior design and decorating is inspired by her extensive research of the great 20th-century design icons. She brings a knowledge that every interior space tells a story, not only of the period and architectural style, but of the client. This story is the cornerstone for a relevant and sophisticated home. Ghia’s skill is notable in attention to detail, and of finding nuanced, innovative design solutions. Her versatility reveals carefully curated homes of understated elegance and harmony.

Known for creating interiors that are fresh yet also timeless, Ghia uses artisanal materials, along with custom upholstery, and a peppering of vintage items and antiques that give her projects a collected feel unique to each client. She believes that every piece in the home should have significance to its owner, whether through symbolism, energy, history, or just sheer beauty.

With an MA in History of Art from the University of St Andrews, Scotland, Ghia received her professional training in London with a leading design firm specializing in bespoke cabinetry. Transferred to New York City, she later established Elizabeth Ghia Interiors with commissions spanning the East Coast, before relocating to the Miami area. Her clients are in Florida, New York, DC, Maryland and Virginia. Ghia has served on the Coral Gables Historic Preservation Board, and has worked on numerous landmark and historic properties.
