Looks like Brooklyn may soon become home to another big name rapper—at least, part time. The New York Post reports that Pulitzer Prize-winner Kendrick Lamar is currently in contract to buy an $8.99 million penthouse in Pierhouse, the Jonathan Marvel-designed luxury building located in the Brooklyn Bridge Park, right on the edge of the East River.

“It’s a pied-à-terre,” a source told the Post of Lamar’s potential new pad. But no telling how much time the “Humble” rapper and his family will be spending there.

Reports are that the Compton, California–born musician has been shopping around for a condo in the area this summer, touring units that cost around $10 million. If this contract goes through, Lamar would be adding another luxe property to his well-rounded real estate portfolio, which already includes a $16 million house in Bel Air, a $9.7 million mansion on Manhattan Beach, a $2.65 million investment property in Calabasas, and a four-bedroom house in Eastvale, California.

The musician’s pending purchase would solidify Pierhouse’s status as a celebrity hot spot: actor Matt Damon and comedian Amy Schumer already own condos there, and British pop star Ed Sheeran currently rents a 3,200-square-foot unit on the premises at $36,000 a month.

The building boasts unobstructed views of the river and lower Manhattan, which can be seen from any of its expansive private terraces. Pierhouse’s units are all duplexes encased by large windows that usher in natural light and allow residents to take in those striking views from inside their homes. Kitchens come lined with custom walnut cabinetry and countertops in the units are made of Calacatta Tucci marble.

Amenities at the building include two fitness centers, a meditation studio, and an event space. Residents are also given access to all the amenities at the attached sustainably-minded luxury 1 Hotel, which boasts a farm-to-table restaurant and an eco-conscious wellness spa. On top of it all, Lamar, his fiancée, and their two children, would get to enjoy the 85-acre Brooklyn Bridge Park, which practically serves as the building’s front yard.
