When the average person has a new baby, they may splurge on decorating a nursery or even upgrade to a slightly bigger house. For Jessica Simpson, welcoming her daughter Birdie in March meant it was time to add an entire wing to her already massive Hidden Hills mansion.
According to the Daily Mail, several builders were spotted on-site as the home was being extended to provide more room for Simpson, her husband Eric Johnson, and their three kids (baby Birdie, six-year-old Maxwell, and five-year-old Ace). The workers were seen laying down panels of wood for the new space that will connect the main house to a separate home on the property.
This seems to be the biggest change made to the property since the fashion mogul purchased the home from Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in 2013 for $11.5 million. Back then, it already had plenty of space for the family, with six bedrooms and a separate guest apartment. The 2.5-acre property also boasts a jungle gym, a swing set, a basketball hoop, a large swimming pool, a hot tub, a home movie theater, and a large model of a cow that Simpson added to the driveway when she first moved in.

Simpson has offered her fans a few peeks at her home via Instagram, like when she shared a photo of her bathroom to reveal that she broke the lid on the toilet seat while pregnant. And pictures from her over-the-top floral-filled Easter celebration showed off the stunning manicured lawn and Hidden Hills views.
