Comedian Trevor Noah is moving on from his role as host of The Daily Show and along with it his nearby Hell’s Kitchen dwelling. The Born a Crime author just listed his three-bedroom and three-and-a-half bathroom penthouse for $12.95 million, the Wall Street Journal reports. Located in an Art Deco-style building designed by architect Ralph Walker in 1927, the two-floor Manhattan condo is only about a five-minute commute by foot from the Daily Show studio.
Noah thoroughly renovated the space during his tenancy, most notably by changing the upper-floor bedroom suite into the living and entertaining areas, which open via double french doors to a 1,000-square-foot terrace with a heated plunge pool nestled below a custom teak pergola and a black granite wet bar. The lower floor, which once housed the living area, now holds three bedrooms, one of which is currently configured as a sleek theater with charcoal gray shag carpeting, wool-upholstered walls, and roomy leather recliners.
A black floating staircase near the front entrance of the apartment provides access to the upper floor common areas, which boast 15-foot-tall ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass, French oak floors, and black cast-metal archways between rooms. A modern living room features a marble gas fireplace and adjoins the kitchen and dining area, which comfortably seats twelve people. Various textures adorn the walls throughout the home, including suede, hand plastering, and the cortina leather wall found in the primary bedroom. Bespoke built-ins, two dressing rooms, and an ensuite marble bathroom with a steam shower, soaking tub, dual vanities, and limestone floors are also found in the owner’s suite.

The talk show host bought the 3,600-square-foot home for $10 million in 2017, about two years after he started hosting The Daily Show. “There’s another part of my life that I want to carry on exploring,” Noah explained of his departure from the news series.
